Talia Cotton is a designer and coder and specializes in the intersection of branding and technology. She is currently leading the design and development of data-driven and algorithmic brand identities at Pentagram with Michael Bierut and Giorgia Lupi, and teaches Advanced Interaction at Parsons School of Design. In 2019 she founded Intro to Coding for Designers, a workshop catered to boost the advancement of the study of code-as-design for the design community. Previously she led her own independent design & coding practice, and led digital brand design and development at Champions Design. Her work has been recognized by D&AD Awards, TDC Awards, It’s Nice That, and FastCo Design.

Her practice largely revolves around educating the design community on what’s possible with code, helping them understand how it can be applied successfully with wit and reason, and inspiring them to pursue the study of code as well.
